I wrote this for my mom. I love you, mom.

MOTHER

You have always had a special place in my heart.
And from me you will never part.
You have been there for me in the middle of the night.
And when I had nightmares, you held me tight.

Words cannot express how much I love you,
Nor express how much I need you.
I love you Mother.

I wrote this poem for my stepdad, Conley, who passed
away on April 26th, 2006. I love you, Conley.

FATHER

You've always been there for me,
In the middle of the night.
When I needed someone to hold me tight.
You have always held my hand,
When I have gone through the darkest days.
When I'm going down a rocky road,
You've always been there to help me carry the load.

I know I haven't always been your perfect little girl,
But, I have tried my best through this old world.
Sometimes I feel like I don't deserve you.
And I'm sure you feel that way about me too.

I feel that God has put you in my life.
I never want to take you for granted.
Each day you help me go on a little further,
Thank you so much for being my father.
