Goodbye England's Rose
May you ever grow in our hearts.
You were the grace that placed itself
Where lives were torn apart.
You called out to our country,
And you whispered to those in pain.
Now you belong to heaven,
And the stars spell out your name.
And it seems to me you lived your life
Like a candle in the wind:
Never fading with the sunset
When the rain set in.
And your footsteps will always fall here,
Along England's greenest hills;
Your candle's burned out long before
Your legend ever will.
Loveliness we've lost;
These empty days without your smile.
This torch we'll always carry
For our nation's golden child.
And even though we try,
The truth brings us to tears;
All our words cannot express
The joy you brought us through the years.
Goodbye England's rose,
From a country lost without your soul,
Who'll miss the wings of your compassion,
more than you'll ever know.

I didn't really fallow Princess Diana's life, but, I knew of
her.
After her death, I became interested in her life and the causes and
concerns that were dear to her heart. She set out to try stop the
spread of HIV and Aids. The land mines also deeply concerned
her, because of the killing of innocent civilians. She also spent time
with sick children in hospitals. She traveled around the world,
sharing her love and compassion.
Diana had a beautiful smile and a heart of gold. Even through
the
most difficult times in her life, she continued in her effort to make
a difference in the world. She had a troubled marriage and she
knew Prince Charles loved someone else. The only reason he
married Diana was because she could give him a son. Prince
Charles was having an affair and Diana met and began dating
Dodi Fayed. I do not by any means approve of the fact that she
also had an affair. But, in her mind, she was finally happy.
On August 31, 1997, Princess Diana and
Dodi Fayed died in a horrific car accident in Paris. At age 36, Diana's
life was cut short.
Even though she is gone, She will always live in our hearts.
